Breakfast

Enjoy a delicious full English breakfast when you stay at The George Hotel.

Breakfast is served in our restaurant, situated just off the Lounge Bar, where you can enjoy a Continental or a full English breakfast.
We will take your order for tea and coffee along with white or brown toast and you are welcome to help yourself to the breakfast buffet.

Breakfast is charged at £14.50 if it is not included in your rate.

Breakfast Opening Hours

Monday to Friday: 6.30am to 9.30am

Saturday, Sunday & Bank Holidays: 8.00am to 10am. Continental breakfast is served from 7am.

Grab & Go Breakfast

Early start tomorrow? You can order a Grab & Go Breakfast bag of croissant, pastry, banana, fruit yoghurt and orange juice to take away for £7.95.  Please place your order with Reception before 8pm the night before and you can collect your breakfast from Reception on the day of departure.

Check Out Time

You are required to vacate your bedroom by 11am on the day of departure. Please remember to deposit your key card at Reception before leaving the hotel.

Express Check Out is available for pre-authorised accounts. Please pick up a form from Reception. Late check out may be available, subject to availability, at a charge of £15 per hour. If not requested, a fine of £15 per hour may apply for late check out until 1pm. For Saturday night stays, our “Lazy Sunday” late check out option allows you to keep your bedroom on a Sunday until 6pm for an extra charge of £40 per room. House Keeping

Your room will not be serviced each day. Replacement tea tray items, fresh towels or toiletries are available at reception.

Bar Opening Hours

The Lounge Bar is open from 7am until 11pm every day. Drinks including bottled water are available to purchase 24 hours a day from the bar.

All major credit cards accepted including Visa, MasterCard and American Express.

Electrical Fans

There is an electrical fan in every room.

Toiletries

Complimentary toiletries (shaving kits, toothbrushes and toothpaste) and facecloths are available at Reception.

TV channels

Bedroom TVs have access to all Freeview channels. Please press guide on your remote.

Emergency Healthcare

For emergencies or serious illness/injury, call 999 from your mobile. For urgent but non-life-threatening medical help, call NHS 111 from your mobile. The nearest hospital is the Samuel Johnson Hospital, 1mile away, open 8am-9pm. The nearest A&E is in Burton Upon Trent, around 30 minutes’ drive away.

Available from Reception for 10p a sheet.

Internet Access

Free Wi-Fi is available in all public areas and bedrooms.

International Plug Adaptors

Available for loan from Reception for a £10 deposit.

Meeting Rooms

If you are interested in holding a meeting or private dinner here, a member of our team will be happy to show you the various rooms we have available. The largest is the Garrick Suite which has a private bar and caters for up to 110 guests.

Reception Staffed Hours

Our reception team are available from 7am until 11pm.

Out of these hours there is a Night Porter who can assist you.

Safe Deposit Availability

Items of high value should be offered to Receptionto deposit in the main safe and a receipt will be issued.

Dining Options

During your stay we hope you will be able to enjoy a meal in our Lounge Bar open daily from 7am, or in Darwin's Brasserie, which is open Monday to Saturday from 12noon - 9pm. Sunday carvery available 12noon -5pm, booking advised.

Our coffee shop Paddy and Scotts is located just next door. Enjoy a 20% discount voucher, which can be found in your room.
